From choosing your plate to plates through the letterbox. Most orders are dispatched within 24–48 hours of us receiving your documents.
Choose your plate
Pick a finish, such as 2D printed, 3D gel or 4D, and a size: standard, Perfect, Hex or Mohex. See every finish with prices. If you're not sure what suits your car, ask us.
Send us your order
Use the order form, call 01754 763270 or email plateslessuk@gmail.com with:
- your registration
- the finish and size you'd like
- whether you need a front plate, a rear plate or both
Show your documents
For road-legal plates, the law says we must see proof of your identity and your right to use the registration. You'll find the list of accepted documents below.
We make and send your plates
Once your documents are checked, we make your plates and dispatch them within 24–48 hours. UK delivery takes 1–3 working days, or you can collect from our Skegness store.

Questions
What makes a number plate road legal?
It must meet the British Standard BS AU 145e. That sets the font, character size and spacing, the colours (white at the front, yellow at the back), and the strength and reflectivity of the plate. It must also show the supplier's name and the BS mark. Raised 3D and 4D characters are allowed if they're black and meet the standard.
How much do plates cost?

How long will my plates take?
We dispatch most orders within 24–48 hours of receiving your documents. UK delivery then takes 1–3 working days.
Do you deliver everywhere in the UK?
Yes. For Northern Ireland, the islands or an urgent order, call us on 01754 763270 to check timings.
Can I collect my plates?
Yes, from our store at the National MOT Centre, Victoria Road, Skegness. Call ahead on 01754 763270 so your plates are ready.
Are shaped plates legal?
Shaped and short plates must still meet the rules on character size and spacing, and a short plate can't be used if your registration doesn't fit at the legal size. Tell us your registration and vehicle and we'll check before we make anything.
